Healing From Trauma at a Pace That Feels Safe

Trauma can leave you feeling as though part of you is still responding to the past—even when the danger has ended. Intrusive memories, emotional numbness, anxiety, sleep difficulties, shame, or feeling constantly on guard can affect your relationships, daily life, and sense of self.

These responses do not mean that something is wrong with you. They often developed as ways to survive experiences that felt overwhelming or unsafe. I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults who are ready to understand these patterns, process painful experiences, and reconnect with a greater sense of safety and control.

Therapy is collaborative and personalized. You will not be rushed or pressured to discuss anything before you feel ready.

Your Healing, Your Pace

Trauma therapy is not about forcing you to relive painful experiences. We begin by creating a foundation of trust, safety, and emotional stability. From there, we work together at a pace that respects your comfort level, needs, and goals.

Depending on your individual needs, I may integrate EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Schema Therapy, IFS-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and other trauma-informed approaches.

  • Build grounding and emotional regulation skills that support greater stability.
  • Understand how trauma has affected your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships.
  • Identify triggers and recognize the protective patterns connected to past experiences.
  • Process traumatic memories only when you feel prepared and supported.
  • Reduce shame, guilt, self-blame, and negative beliefs connected to what happened.
  • Strengthen boundaries, trust, self-compassion, and connection with others.

Common Questions About Trauma Therapy

Q1: Do I have to talk about every detail of what happened?

No. Trauma therapy does not require you to immediately describe every detail of your experiences. You remain in control of what you share, and we will move at a pace that supports your safety and comfort.

EMDR and ART may be helpful for some clients, but neither approach is automatically appropriate for everyone. We will consider your history, current symptoms, emotional stability, goals, and preferences before deciding which methods may best support you.

The length of therapy varies depending on your experiences, goals, current needs, and response to treatment. Some clients focus on a specific experience, while others need more time to work through complex or long-standing patterns. Progress and treatment needs will be reviewed collaboratively.
