Build Healthier Patterns and More Authentic Connections
Relationships can be a source of connection, comfort, and belonging—but they can also bring up painful emotions, old wounds, and recurring patterns. You may struggle to communicate your needs, establish boundaries, trust others, or feel secure when conflict arises.
Perhaps you find yourself repeatedly entering similar relationships, taking responsibility for everyone’s emotions, avoiding difficult conversations, or losing touch with your own needs. Betrayal, separation, family conflict, or unhealthy relationship dynamics may also leave you feeling confused and uncertain about what to do next.
I provide individual therapy for adults who want to better understand their relationship patterns, strengthen their sense of self, and create healthier ways of connecting with others.
Communication Difficulties
You may struggle to express your needs, feel misunderstood, or avoid important conversations until resentment builds. Therapy can help you communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
Boundary Challenges
Saying no, protecting your time, or prioritizing your needs may create guilt or fear. Together, we explore boundaries that support both connection and self-respect.
Recurring Patterns
You may notice similar conflicts, roles, or emotional experiences appearing across different relationships. Therapy helps identify what may be keeping these patterns in place.
Trust & Betrayal
Betrayal, inconsistency, or previous relationship wounds can make vulnerability feel unsafe. Therapy provides space to process what happened and clarify what rebuilding trust means for you.
Change Begins With Understanding Your Patterns
Relationship challenges are rarely about simply finding the right words. Our reactions can be influenced by attachment experiences, trauma, expectations, protective strategies, and beliefs about what we deserve from others.
Individual therapy focuses on the thoughts, emotions, boundaries, and choices within your control. Depending on your needs, I may integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, IFS-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches.

Common Questions About Relationship-Focused Therapy
Q1: Is this couples counseling?
No. This service is individual therapy focused on your experiences, emotions, and relationship patterns. A partner or family member does not attend the sessions. If couples or family therapy would better fit your needs, an appropriate referral may be recommended.
Q2: Can therapy help if the other person will not participate?
Yes. You cannot control another person’s choices, but you can better understand your reactions, communicate more clearly, establish boundaries, and decide how you want to respond. Individual changes can create greater clarity even when the other person does not participate.
Q3: Will you tell me whether I should stay in or leave a relationship?
Therapy is not about making personal decisions for you. Instead, it provides a supportive space to explore your values, needs, concerns, safety, and available options so you can make a decision that feels informed and authentic.
